George III 5-Piece Silver and Cut Glass Epergne
Magnificent epergne, circa 1792, by William Hall, London, the centerpiece with garland frieze and four downswept legs, joined by two rows of incurvate stretchers, and having four bowls of similar design, in miniature, all with cut glass inserts, all with matching 'r' date letters and maker's marks: 'WM' for William Hall, as shown. The epergne is in generally good condition, with a few chips/flakes here and there. Otherwise, one of the small inserts has been reassembled with missing pieces, the large insert has a fracture to one lobe. Measures 10"H x 19 1/2"W x 12 3/4" D. 53 ozt weighable.
